Moira was beginning to feel a lot better and she was able to move about a lot more freely. She is going to take it easy for another couple of days and we are planning to take our long delayed trip to Santa Cruz on Monday.

After making a cup of tea we downloaded the newspaper and lay in bed reading until about 8am when I got up and made the breakfast. There wasn't any hurry to get to the gym this morning as it didn't open until 10 am at the week-end. I started the prize crossword in the 'Telegraph' and managed to complete and submit it before we went out.

We walked to the gym where Moira left me to have a longer walk. I had my shirt off again, the weather was even warmer today. At the gym I decided to reduce the weights I use and increase the reps. See above. It turned out to be quite a tough workout and right from the start with my walk around the outside area with 10 kg in each hand I was feeling the 'burn' I my muscles.

I got back at lunch time and we listened to the 'News Quiz' on the radio while having our sandwiches. In the afternoon we sat outside on the veranda reading. It was quite warm and when I began getting too hot I went down for a swim. The pool is getting nice temperature and I enjoyed a good swim, completing about half a dozen laps before coming up for a shower.

Not good news for Morton when the football results came on, they lost 2-1 to Airdrie. I think they are going to blow their chances of promotion. After the results it was the Calcutta Cup rugby International between England and Scotland. Scotland played well in the first half and at the interval were leading 13-10. But in the second half they were rubbish and at the end lost 25-13.

In the evening there was another in the scientific series, this one about the development of sound recording and transmission. It was very good and this series is well done. After that I turned over for the lottery quiz, the contestants didn't win anything. I'm quite pleased when they don't win anything on this BBC quiz programmes, hopefully it keeps the licence fee down. I went to bed afterwards and read my book for a while before getting to sleep.
